Throughout my Marketing 576 class, I learned a great deal about marketing strategies and related them to companies and issues that are global in scope. For my final project, I selected a current marketing problem that is being encountered by an existing business and proposed solutions to their dilemma. In order to understand the companies being analyzed (Gucci and Zara) and before defining the problem, I had to define the business in which the companies engaged in terms of the background of the businesses, the type of ownership, and the type of service/product provided. When indentifying the problem, I had to look at it factually and statistically. Then came proposing solutions based on the knowledge gained throughout the course using a 6-step case study outline and multiple reputable sources.
